Fill your day with the thrill of intimate wildlife encounters and authentic experiences

Watch birds and wildlife from a whole new perspective and enjoy the gentle tranquillity of a boat cruise in the Okavango Delta and Blyde Canyon Nature Reserve in South Africa.

Blyde Dam Boat Cruise on the Blyde River Canyon

Hippos are often spotted on the banks and a vast array of bird species can be seen sweeping across the water and perching alongside it and wading in the shallows. The tour includes refreshments and a tour guide who will take guests to the rare living Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the Three Rondavels.

Moremi Boat Cruise on the Okavango Delta

Boat cruises depart from Xakanaxa boat station in Moremi Game Reserve and can be incorporated into full-day Moremi trips. Guests will get to watch hippos appearing and disappearing around them and see elephants crossing the waterways ahead of them. Boat cruises are conducted by a river guide who will drive the boat and impart his knowledge about the area and the animals, and all our guests have to do is relax with a refreshment and keep a camera at the ready!

Game drives are the best way to enjoy up-close encounters with wildlife in their natural habitat. Our specialised, open 4x4 vehicles can seat 10 people comfortably, offering each guest an unobstructed view of the surroundings and wildlife. A professional field guide and a tracker will conduct morning and afternoon excursions, each three hours long, and including a morning coffee stop or an afternoon sundowner with snacks. In our private Botswana and Kruger reserves, we can extend game drive until after dark, creating an exciting opportunity to see nocturnal animals in action

Morning drives with a coffee stop in the bushveld

On a morning drive, you will be able to enjoy the tranquillity of the reserve and watch the sunrise over the unspoiled bush.

Afternoon drives with sundowners

Afternoon drives bring a totally different aspect where you can search for grazers in the afternoon and predators starting their nightly hunts.

Greater Kruger National Park

Our walking activity in the Greater Kruger is a traditional safari-on-foot experience whereby guests will be led by specially trained and qualified guides through the wild. This experience can be humbling and tranquil, or it may be full of excitement and adrenalin.

Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai

The aim of this walking safari is to give curious and adventurous guests a closer look at the track and signs left behind by wild animals and to learn about the indigenous trees and their traditional uses.

Walk in the footsteps of the Botswana guides, or venture on a guided walking safari in the Greater Kruger. A new perspective awaits.

Whether going in search of the elusive Pel’s fishing owl in the Okavango Delta or watching flocks of queleas take off over grasslands in the Kruger National Park, birdwatching is one of the great joys of safari. At each of our destinations, guests have the chance to spot hundreds of species and tick “lifers” off their checklists. By combining different locations in South Africa and Botswana, our birdwatching experiences incorporate various habitats, terrains, and ecosystems, creating an experience to remember.

Kruger National Park

The Kruger National Park is one of the largest in the world and it spans a variety of habitats, meaning its birdwatching potential is high. During summer, more than 200 migrant species arrive, almost doubling the species number in the park between November and February.

Moremi Wilderness Area

Game drives in the private concession offer the opportunity to see plenty of commonly occurring species like hornbills, barbets, wood hoopoes, starlings, bulbuls, and rollers. Shrubland birds like lark, pytilia, camaroptera, cisticola, and firefinch are also some to look out for, as are the commonly occurring raptors, such as brown snake eagle, tawny eagle, bateleur, and a number of endangered vultures. And keep an eye out for the heaviest flying bird, the kori bustard, which is a special feature in the area.

Spend a full day on safari and make the most of your time in some of

southern Africa’s most illustrious destinations.
