Entrance to the Villa Kudu compound is through a wonderful, traditional thatched gateway, leading into a beautifully landscaped courtyard complete with a boma and firepit, where tales of thrilling wildlife encounters are traded over a roaring log fire each evening beneath a canopy of stars.


The villa itself features a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen and scullery with top-of-the-range appliances which is open to a magnificent dining and lounge area that in turn open out onto an expansive covered patio where you will find a beautiful, sparkling 9m x 2m swimming pool designed for laps and plenty of space for relaxation and sunbathing.


A built-in barbecue and bar overlooking the pool offer the opportunity to enjoy some al-fresco dining, while decked walkways lead off into the bush to private viewing decks overlooking the river bed - the perfect spots for sundowners and private spa treatments.



Villa Kudu has been designed for optimal privacy, luxury and use of outdoor spaces, including 4 airconditioned king-size bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with inside and outside showers


The Master Bedroom comes complete with a gas fireplace for slightly chilly winter evenings and a built-in study nook with iMac computer and a wireless printer. It has a private decked patio overlooking the bush and is equipped with a fantastic walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with bath, indoor and outdoor showers, double vanity, and toilet.


The Giraffe Bedroom has its own study area, private decked patio with views of the bush and a spacious en-suite bathroom with bath, inside and outside showers, double vanity, and toilet.


Outside, off the courtyard, are the Zebra and Cheetah Bedrooms in their own separate pavilion. They share a bathroom that's equipped with a bath, indoor and outdoor showers, double vanity, and a toilet.


All bedrooms feature exquisite linen, bath towels and bathrobes, and amenities from Godding & Godding - a renowned local producer of organic, natural cosmetics including body lotions and butter, shampoos, conditioners and body washes, soaps and room mists. The range used in Villa Kudu is Pure Silk and Baobab and can be purchased from Godding & Godding's shop in Hoedspruit.

From Johannesburg:

  • Take the N1/N3 towards Johannesburg

  • Exit 113 takes the N4/N12 towards Emalahleni/Witbank/ Middelburg towards Nelspruit/Mbombela.

  • Turn left on the R540 towards Belfast/Dullstroom, in the centre of town, turn right towards Dullstroom/Lydenburg.

  • Continue through Dullstroom and Lydenburg.

  • Follow the R36, after some time you will enter the Abel Erasmus pass and eventually you will go through the Strijdom tunnel and down the pass

  • Continue on the R36 until it turns to the right, you must carry on towards Hoedspruit on the R527, which takes you straight into town (45km)

  • ZANDSPRUIT BUSH &AERO ESTATE entrance is on the righthand side of the R527 approximately 2km before Hoedspruit

  • The manager on duty will meet you at the Estate entrance gate
