Safaris with Purpose
One of the founding pillars of Bundox Safari Co. is the belief that safari travel can play a meaningful role in protecting Africa’s wild places.
Today’s travellers are increasingly seeking more than exceptional wildlife encounters. They want to understand the landscapes they visit, learn about the challenges facing conservation, and connect with the people working to safeguard Africa’s natural heritage.
Our conservation-focused safaris are designed for these meaningful travellers — guests who wish to experience the magic of the wilderness while gaining deeper insight into the work being done to protect it.
Led by specialist guides and enriched through tailored talks, field-based learning, and access to conservation experts, these journeys offer a rare perspective on active research and wildlife protection. From elephants and rhinos to big cats and other iconic species, each experience is crafted to be immersive, informative, and deeply purposeful.
This is safari with impact — created to inspire, educate, and contribute to a wilder future.
Conservation with PurposE
At Bundox Safari Co., conservation is guided by respect, integrity, and genuine ecological need. Our conservation-focused safaris are designed to offer meaningful insight into the protection of Africa’s wild places, while always placing the welfare of wildlife first.
Guests are invited to engage in valuable habitat and wilderness support work, from snare removal and alien plant control to bush clearing and protecting trees from elephant impact. Where wildlife is involved, our approach is strictly observational and educational, led by qualified professionals and informed by real conservation priorities.
We have made a conscious decision to move away from staged conservation activities. Instead, our experiences are carefully curated around authentic conservation themes, including leopard range and distribution, elephant behaviour, pangolin rescue and rehabilitation, and painted wolf pack dynamics.
Through our trusted network of researchers, scientists, conservationists, and specialist guides, guests gain rare access to the stories, challenges, and fieldwork shaping conservation across Africa. These experiences are brought to life through first-hand observation, thoughtful interpretation, and meaningful discussion in the wilderness itself.
We believe that lasting conservation begins with understanding. By creating deeper learning experiences, we hope to inspire our guests to see wild places differently — and to contribute to the protection of the landscapes and species that make Africa extraordinary.
