Arrive at Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport and transfer into the Greater Kruger wilderness for the start of your Live Wild & Retreat journey. After checking in at Bundox Explorer Camp, take some time to settle into camp and ease into the rhythm of the bush before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Your first evening introduces you to the landscape, wildlife and changing light of the Olifants West Nature Reserve.

Overnight- Bundox Explorer Camp

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, exploring the reserve as the bush comes to life. The morning continues with breakfast beside the river, adding a slower and more scenic moment to the safari experience before returning to camp. Later in the day, head back into the wilderness for an afternoon or evening game drive, giving you another opportunity to experience the changing character of the reserve as the day cools.

Overnight – Bundox Explorer Camp

After a final morning game drive at Bundox Explorer Camp, return for breakfast before checking out and transferring to Amava River Lodge in the Olifants View Nature Reserve. On arrival, check in and receive your wellness gift before settling into the more relaxed pace of the next part of the journey. Enjoy lunch and time to unwind at the lodge before heading out again for an afternoon game drive, combining the restorative side of the retreat with another evening in the Greater Kruger wilderness.

Overnight – Amava River Lodge

Start the day with an early morning game drive, taking in another side of the Greater Kruger landscape from your base at Amava River Lodge. Later, continue to the Olifants River for a boat cruise, exchanging the game-drive vehicle for a slower journey along the water. The combination of safari exploration and time on the river creates a more relaxed final full day, allowing the experience to move naturally between wildlife, scenery and time to simply enjoy being in the bush.

Overnight – Amava River Lodge

Begin your final morning with one last game drive before returning to Amava River Lodge. After checking out, transfer back to Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport for your onward journey. Live Wild & Retreat ends after four nights that balance active safari exploration with time to slow down, recharge and experience the Greater Kruger at a more considered pace.
